Our History

Established in Ankara's Polatlı Organised Industrial Zone in 2004, Panelsan initially manufactured sandwich panels insulated with mineral wool (stone wool and glass wool) and expanded polystyrene (EPS). Anticipating increased demand for sandwich panels and EPS products as the construction sector and investors became more aware of insulation requirements, the company commissioned its EPS insulation board and moulded packaging production line in 2005.

By the early 2010s, Panelsan's management had begun considering new investments, driven by R&D investment, its commitment to institutional development and total quality management, and the increased market share achieved through its branding efforts. In 2014, the company supported its operations and investments with Kaizen and 5S practices and commissioned a polyurethane (PUR) and polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulated sandwich panel production line.

Consistently included in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's Second 500 list since 2016, Panelsan manufactures at a facility with 26,540 m² of enclosed space within a total factory area of 142,540 m². Its product range addresses the sector's requirements for thermal and acoustic insulation, airtightness, hygiene, condensation control, safety, aesthetics and fire resistance. With its total quality management approach and FM Global-certified products in demand across three continents, Panelsan has become a sought-after brand in the Middle East, Turkic republics, Africa and Europe.

Panelsan is a visionary leader in its sector, supported by its registered brands, total quality management approach, specialist team and R&D activities. Its products are at the forefront of performance-based testing and certification, with FM Global, Gost-R, TSE, CE and ISO 9001 certifications. Since establishing a dedicated R&D department in 2017, Panelsan has used advanced technology to offer environmentally responsible, cost-effective products with innovative insulation performance.

Combining its commitment to the environment and a green, circular economy with innovations introduced to the sector, Panelsan is a pioneer in specially designed sandwich roof panels and mounting systems for solar photovoltaic (PV) installations. Through the solar PV system installed on the roof of its Polatlı Organised Industrial Zone facilities in 2020, Panelsan generated 2,353,180 kWh of solar energy in 2024, preventing 1,180 tonnes of carbon emissions and saving the equivalent of 80,026 trees. This transformation supported our social responsibility commitments and our aim to leave a cleaner world for future generations, earning us the 'Solar Energy System Project' award at the Self-Powered Factories Summit.

To complete its planned investments and expand its domestic and international market shares, Panelsan completed its initial public offering on Borsa Istanbul in 2022, becoming the only company representing its sector on the exchange. Growth continued following the IPO: the additional sandwich panel production line in Ankara Polatlı was completed and commissioned, increasing the company's production capacity. Panelsan is also continuing work to establish a new sandwich panel manufacturing facility as part of its investment in Kazakhstan.

Having completed its 20th year in the sector, Panelsan has become a preferred brand for products and services in Türkiye's pioneering investment projects. It continues its journey with a sense of responsibility, preserving its values, visionary leadership and the enthusiasm of its first day.
