Panelsan Supports the 4th International Gordion Marathon as Main Sponsor

The 4th International Gordion Marathon, a regular event bringing together athletes from across Türkiye, will take place at 10:00 on Sunday, 5 November, in the ancient city of Gordion, newly inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. As the main sponsor of this event organised by Polatlı Municipality, Panelsan supports the aim of introducing Polatlı's rich historical and cultural heritage to a wider audience.

The marathon celebrates Gordion's inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List and promotes Polatlı's historical and cultural heritage. Panelsan Sales Manager Cüneyt Boydaş said: “As a company operating in the historic lands of Polatlı, we are proud to be part of this special event. The Gordion Marathon combines the universal language of sport with our historical and cultural richness, offering an opportunity to introduce Polatlı and Gordion to the world. Through the marathon, we reaffirm our commitment and support to both Polatlı and Gordion.”

The 2023 Gordian Knot Will Raise Climate Awareness at the Marathon

On marathon day, Panelsan will also introduce its project “The 2023 Gordian Knot: The Climate Crisis”, which aims to raise awareness and understanding of the climate crisis and environmental sustainability. Participants can explore the project at Panelsan's stand.

Boydaş said: “With our project, which brings Gordion's cultural and natural beauty together with environmental sustainability, we are preparing to host an event that unites sport, culture and environmental awareness. We aim to increase public understanding and awareness of sustainability and the climate crisis.”
