Panelsan, known for its roof and wall systems and specialist products for industrial construction, continues to invest in sustainability and product development. The company aims to achieve net-zero carbon by 2028. Sales and Marketing Manager Cüneyt Boydaş said its international presence was strengthening: ‘We export to 20 countries.’

Focused on Innovative Investments and a Sustainable Future

Panelsan has placed sustainable, clean production at the centre of its industrial roof and wall systems business. Listed on BIST in 2022, the company entered the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's Second 500 list in 2016 and reached 194th place in 2023. ‘We are focused on a sustainable future through innovative investments. We want to grow with a clean production approach,’ said Sales and Marketing Manager Cüneyt Boydaş, noting continued overseas investments. He explained: ‘In line with our sustainability objectives, we are establishing a new sandwich panel production facility in Kazakhstan and an additional factory in Polatlı, Ankara. These investments strengthen our export-led growth strategy in European and African markets. We have also continued our expansion plans by acquiring an 81,000-square-metre strategic investment site in Polatlı. Technological advances in stone wool and polyurethane panel production will directly address the sector's needs. Together, these steps demonstrate a sustainable growth vision that will improve Panelsan's product and service quality globally. In 2023, we produced 5,479,000 square metres in total. We serve more than 700 customers in 20 countries. With over 11 brands and more than 100 sales points, our ambition for worldwide growth continues.’ Boydaş said the new Polatlı factory was built with environmental responsibility in mind, including energy efficiency, waste management and an environmentally conscious approach, and that work towards LEED Green Building Certification was continuing.

Work Continues Towards Net-Zero Carbon

Boydaş said 59% of total electricity consumption came from renewable energy, preventing greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to 837 tonnes of carbon dioxide in 2023. He emphasised the plan to achieve net-zero carbon by 2028: ‘Through our waste management efforts, we increased rainwater storage from 180 to 215 tonnes. We plan average annual savings of 5,000 cubic metres. Reusing waste heat saves 3,300 kW of energy per day.’

Expanding the Product Range

Boydaş said new investments, supported by technological development, play a central role in enriching the product range. The company aims to improve competitiveness through environmentally friendly, economical products. ‘Panelsan strengthens its commitment to being a visionary leader in our sector every day. Through innovative, high-quality products with strong insulation performance, together with sustainability and recycling policies, we continue working to leave a liveable world for future generations,’ he said.
